Beatrix

As of this picture she is 25 inches and 17 pounds. Goodness!
Catnap at the St. Patricks day parade

She gets a really intense look when she stands

I think she knows how cute she is!

Happiness

We are having a great start to Spring. Jackson is almost done with pre-K, Kindergarten roundup is on April 3, he's excited that he gets to ride a bus next year! Beatrix has one or two more visits with Dr, Sharp to make sure she is healing right and then she will be perfect and have no more bum bum! I really have the most amazing kids in the world. Jackson is so intense and creative. I never have to worry about him not standing up for himself or others. As crazy as he can act he has a compassion and kindness for other people that not many adults even have. Beatrix is just the happiest most relaxed cool baby I have ever known. She just rolls with the punches. She has had more poking and prodding and even a surgery, all before she was 5 months old and she acts like life is a breeze. The girl wakes up laughing and goes to sleep smiling. I just had to let everyone know how much I love my Action Jackson and Sweet Bea (If you couldn't tell by my obsessive writing about them!) I am so glad that they have such good people that care about them and love them the way all of you do. Thank you! And a special thank you to Aunt Sandy who is keeping Beatrix super cool with all the clothes and shoes she gets her!! I think I have one of the more stylish babies around!! We all love you guys!!!

Chore Chart

Jackson has a chore chart that he earns stars for the chores he completes. Basic chores all kids need to do...we are not talking rocket science here. He usually does pretty good with his chores...but this last week he did AWESOME! He earned every single star. Now comes the fun part...spending an hour at Target finding the perfect Star Wars guy for his reward!! Oh to be young again!

Is it Spring yet??

Strange to think it was snowing like crazy less than a week ago and now we have this beautiful weather. Kansas is insane. If Kansas was a person, it would be locked up in a loony bin. Chris had a job today and since it was Saturday and Jackson did not have school we played outside for awhile. This is the perfect weather for just enjoying life...and we did!

Amanda Eller Kirby

Amanda Eller Kirby was bornJuly 31, 1924 and passed away March 4, 2009. She was more than just a woman to me. She was family. She is one of the people who made me want to create, to show my feelings and imagination through an art form. Her medium was paints, mine turned out to be words. I thank her for that push into thinking the arts was "cool". I thank her for showing me that even though you are older in years you can still look great with long hair. I thank her for being my Mimi's best friend, my moms second mother and my Godmother. I am keeping my eye on Beatrix lately, they say that the very young are the ones that can communicate with the departed and if ever there was someone who would let us all know she made it over, that would be Amanda! Bea has one of Amanda's paintings over her crib so I am hoping that Amanda comes to visit her painting and Bea one night. God Bless you Amanda for everything you are. ♥♥♥
